Iconic new English jewellery designer Claire English launches the whimsical Anywhere Albion collection.
Conceived with a magpie’s obsession
for collecting memories, often of childhood, Anywhere Albion
comprises a variety of pieces based around ‘found’ or overlooked
objects.
‘I’ve always been drawn to objects
which are forgotten or discarded, particularly those associated with
childhood games or rituals’ comments English. ‘This collection
reflects that interest, combining a playful, English aesthetic with a
bitter-sweet sense of nostalgia.’
A lost key discovered glinting in a
churchyard; a fragile spent match discarded in a burst of fire; a
sculptural wishbone, waiting to be pulled by rival siblings – these
are just some of the inspirations behind the new collection.
Anywhere Albion is accentuated by the
use of soft delicate silver; rich burnished gold; dark rhodium
vermeil or gold vermeil. The collection comprises striking rings,
delicate bracelets, necklaces and beautifully crafted brooches.
